3 Years (and some months)

Chase did a great job at his check-up today....until the finger prick lady came anyway, lol. He is 3 yrs, 4 months old and weighs 34 lbs (50th-75th percentile) and is 38 1/2 in. tall (5oth percentile). So he's pretty average. He's wearing size 4T clothes and size 10-11 shoes.

All of his development is right on track. I even got on to him at one point during the visit for running back and forth and back and forth in the exam room. He said, "But Mommy, you said that Dr. Newman was going to want to see how well I could run and jump." Oh yeah, I did tell him that. :)

We did discuss Chase's continued yucky nose, even since having his tonsils and adenoids out. He often wakes up with a stuffy nose and with dark green buggies (sorry, I know that's gross). The dr was a bit curious about that and said that it still could be allergies (even though his allergy test came back negative a few months ago). He said that we may really see some problems, whether allergies or sinus infections, next month with Ragweed season. He prescribed him a nasal inhaler, Nasonex I think, to treat the inflammation of that nasal and sinus tissue to hopefully bring some relief. And it should ward off any nasal allergies come fall. Let's keep our fingers crossed for no more ear infections/sinus infections with this kid! I think he had 5 sinus infections with pink eye from last fall to this past spring.

He will get the H1N1 vaccine and the flu vaccines when they are available, but other than that, he isn't scheduled to go back until he's 4. Oh how I would LOVE to not have to take him back until then!!!
