Mother's Day 2011

I had a great Mother's Day this year! After church we headed out to my parents' house at the farm and it was a beautiful day!

My Dad wanted to buy the kids these overalls at the local Western store where he buys his boots, so here they are modeling them. Parker has them too. Julianna is going through an interesting smiling phase isn't she?

We spent lots of time outside and it was gorgeous!
I was holding Parker and went to put him down and almost put him right on this huge frog! I should have put my foot by him to show how big he was. As usual, Chase was scared to death of it and JuJu ran right for it and wanted to pick it up. He hopped on the other side of the barbed-wire fence before we could grab him. Darn.

Not exactly sure what he's putting in his mouth. A nut or something from a tree.

This was my Mother's Day card from Chase. He wrote 'Mimm' all by himself for 'Mommy'. Phil told him that he needed an 'o' in there, so he circled the 'm'. Cute.

He made my card one morning in his room before anyone else was awake. The letters by his name say "I Love You" and the letters at the bottom say "Happy Mother's Day". It's pretty good if I do say so myself!

My prized Mother's Day gift.......my blog in a book! Well, just the year 2010. But it's a start. I'm so excited!
So now being published, I have great motivation to keep this thing going. That's one reason why I've always put as many pictures on each post as I could, since these publications will be our family scrapbooks/photo albums.

And I got framed artwork of the kids. I have been wanting this so I can decorate their bathroom. I love it!

Phil also took Julianna shopping and they bought me some clothes too! I am totally spoiled! Thanks family for a great day!

Muffins with Mom

Chase had Muffins with Mom at preschool this past Thursday. It was really sweet. They had the tables all decorated and each child made a present for mom. We dined on muffins and orange juice.


And he drew this picture of the two of us. We each have eyes, a nose, arms, legs and a belly button. He has a head full of brown hair, but I can't remember what he drew in his hand.

The paper says "My mother's name is Kristen."
"My mother is 13 years old." (And he was really concerned that he got the right. :)
"My mother's favorite food is chicken."
"My mother likes to clean the dishes."

He is such a sweet boy and I cannot believe how big he is getting!
