Play Date

Also early in May we had a play date at our house with two of my college roommates. Leslie was the first to arrive with her two girls, Ella who is 2 1/2 and Maggie who was 3 1/2 mos at the time. Parker immediately fell in love with Ella and went straight for a hug. Ella wasn't so sure about all that.

He finally accomplished what he came after.

Success. This was so cute to see because he had just started hugging that week and he just took it upon himself to welcome her to our house with a hug. Sweet boy.

Chase has always loved Ella and did take her hand immediately and take her to his room to show her all his legos. :) But then his attention turned to Maggie. He held her for a while and loved all over her. And you can see that Julianna wanted to be close to her too.

And she got her turn. Look at Maggie smiling at her!

Maggie got lots of love while she was there.

And now we can see Maggie! Sweet girl!

She had lots of protectors. Julianna was actually trying to take care of her. Parker was just always trying to steal her baby equipment. Parker spent a lot of the morning sitting in Maggie's car seat.

JuJu loved having a real, live baby at our house! She didn't leave her side, while she was awake at least.

Not long after Leslie arrived, Cecilia arrived with her twin girls, who are also about 2 1/2 yrs old. Things got a bit active after that. We had seven kids 5 and under. Chase ended up ducking out to another play date of his own and then we had six kids three and under. Whew! It was busy! But it was so fun to get to see everyone.

Cecilia and I get together sometimes (and we should more because we just live a few miles apart) but Leslie lives in Birmingham, so we don't get to see her very often.

Thanks for coming over girls! We'll have to do it again, but maybe outdoors in a fenced in area. :)
