We had great travels on Wednesday to get to Texas. We drove 2 1/2 hrs to get to Little Rock, so that we could fly on Southwest with $30 (each way) tickets to Houston. Yes, I said $30! And since Phil and Julianna fly for free, this was a cheap trip!
Julianna did great on the 1 hr 20 min flight and sat in her seat like a big girl the whole time! She sat with me for the first half of the trip and Phil and Chase were sitting in front of us, then Phil and I traded for the second half.

Chase was "so excited" as he kept telling us. Can't you just see that in his smile?! He has gotten so big and mature lately and is a real pleasure to travel, etc. with.

Boy did we arrive in Houston to a HOT one! It was 92 on Wednesday and 96 yesterday! It so hot it was almost miserable. Very strange feeling for us since our weather in Memphis has been so mild this summer....and rainy! It wasn't even this hot and humid for the 9 days we were at the beach!

The kids got treated to a trip to Toys R Us yesterday...and a ride on the Ice Cream Truck.

New toys kept them entertained for hours- train for Chase...

...and baby doll for Julianna. I think she likes it. What do you think? I told MomMom that she never smiles like this at home for pictures, so she must really like being here!

Chase also got a Halloween costume yesterday. This was not one that he had said he wanted to be, but he picked it out in the store and we went with it. So far it's gone from a Screwdriver Man, to Lightning McQueen, to SpiderMan (who he doesn't even know who that is) to a ghost and then an astronaut, which is the costume we went seeking yesterday when he found this one.
The hat look like a witches hat in the pictures, so we may change that, but it doesn't in real life.

Julianna's gonna be a fairy princess, so we didn't have to look for one for her.

This is the kids practicing their piano skills, lol, this morning before breakfast. They actually do a really good job with the piano it doesn't sound terrible when they are both up there.
More fun things to do and people to see while we are here. We hit the Safari in Houston today, so as soon as I weed through those pictures, I'll post them.
