Zoo Trip

Last Friday, we took advantage of the last free day in our schedule, before JuJu started preschool, to take the kids to the zoo to see the Teton Trek. The first time we went was during the Members Only preview and it wasn't really ready yet, and the Grizzly Bears weren't even on exhibit, and the Elk hadn't arrived yet either. So we basically only saw the wolves.

This time it was much better and the weather was better this time too. The inside of the huge lodge was decorated for Christmas and there were Craftsmen-like wooden tables and chairs all around. So sat inside the lodge and ate our lunch, right in front of the warm fire in the fireplace! Beautiful!!

Of course, we had to take some time after lunch to rock in the rocking chairs, just like at Cracker Barrel, lol.

Julianna was too enthralled by the waterfall here to look at the camera. Can you see my belly??!!

The bears were hard too see, but the wolves were keeping us entertained! They were digging holes, rolling around in the dirt and playing hide and seek behind the trees. They were so fun to watch!

The Elk were beautiful and made me think of Christmas and LL Bean catalogs. Strange, I know.

We only made it through the Teton Trek on this visit! For one, the zoo's pretty big, and for two...so am I, so I'm moving slower these days. :)
